Analytics cookies are only set if you click "Accept All" on the cookie banner. If you choose "Essential Only", no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics does not load.
Third-Party Service Providers (Sub-processors)
We use the following third-party services to operate and improve Tradewise. Each processes personal data on our behalf:
- Google Cloud Platform / Firebase — Hosting, authentication, database, and cloud functions. Data is stored in the europe-west1 (Belgium) region. See Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — Website analytics (only when you consent to analytics cookies). See Google Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions. Stripe processes your payment card details directly; we do not store card numbers. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
International Data Transfers
Our primary infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform in the europe-west1 (Belgium) region within the European Economic Area. Some sub-processors (such as Google Analytics and Stripe) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where data is transferred outside of the UK or EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions as required under UK GDPR.
How We Get Your Personal Information and Why We Have It
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you or connected brokers. We also receive personal information indirectly from the following sources:
- Payment providers (Stripe) for billing information.
- Brokers who you connect your trading accounts with.
- Social authentication providers (Google, Facebook, Apple) if you choose to sign in with them.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
- To manage your Account and your registration as a user of the Service.
- For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance, and undertaking of purchase contracts for products or services you have purchased.
- To contact you by email or other equivalent forms of electronic communication regarding updates, security alerts, or service-related notices.
- To provide you with news, special offers, and general information about other goods, services, and events which we offer (only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time).
- To improve the services we offer now or in the future.

- Contractual obligation — Processing is necessary to fulfil our contract with you (e.g., providing the trading journal service).

- Legitimate interest — Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests (e.g., improving our service, fraud prevention) and does not override your rights.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Law Enforcement
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or audit purposes (for example, billing records may be retained for up to 7 years in accordance with HMRC requirements). We use HTTPS across all communications and encrypt your data at rest.

The security of your Personal Data is important to us. We use industry standard encryption and security practices to protect your data. We use HTTPS across all communications on our website and encrypt your data when it is at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Data from Third Parties
Whilst using your account you may connect us to third parties such as social authentication providers or brokers who will share information with us. We take no responsibility for this data or how they provide it to us. We refer you to check the respective privacy policies for the providers which you are using.

Our site may contain links to other websites which are external to Tradewise. These websites are controlled by the third party who owns them. We have no responsibility or liability for any content published on these sites and recommend you review their respective privacy policies.

Automated Decision-Making
Tradewise may use automated processing to generate trade analytics, performance insights, and pattern detection (e.g., similar trade matching, strategy scoring). These features are provided as informational tools to support your own trading decisions — they do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or an in-app notification.
